Choice of "track" to update to

Wishful thinking but I want the latest Beta (but not the nightly build). In the dashboard I'd like to be able to specify "Current Beta/Milestone" or "Current Production" and have the comparator to the appropriate comparison.
So currently I have Dashboard "2.2.5 Beta" and latest is reported as "2.2.4" so I have "Latest Installed" even if there is a more recent beta released. Another CF/Cb hack!

OK, in the Dashboard, when you click the "Update" button it goes and gets your current version number for ColdBox and Dashboard. It opens a file/url/service on YOUR host (http://www.coldboxframework.com/distribution/updatews.cfc?wsdl) and compares those numbers.
The numbers on your server are for latest PRODUCTION version. So if, as in my case, you are running say M4, it's going to compare that to production and say that I have the "Latest Installed".
I want a selector to choose whether the URL/service that is connected to is the PRODUCTION instance or the BETA instance.
So I could choose BETA (radio button) in Dashboard and it would connect to a different URL and give me a comparison to the latest BETA or MILESTONE release.
So for instance, when you release M5, it would alert me that my M4 could be updated, rather than, as now, saying I have the latest release.
And off-topic, but I just noticed there is a radio button for "http://localhost/applications/coldbox/distribution/updatews.cfc?wsdl";. I don't have anything at that URL. Was there some way I could config that to point to another URL? What was the original purpose? Another CF/Cb hack!

AHHH yes, got it!!
Yes, all this will be in place once sometime in the future. The dashboard still has not been touched for 3.0 until we reach RC. As then the features are solid and we can build a new dashboard.
So hopefully, I will open a survey to see what people want to see in the coldbox dashboard. Luis Majano
